2014/ mit dem Traktor vom theresiental nach Oberösterreich/Feldforschung
Während meiner Anwesenheit im Theresiental (Ukraine) fand ich einen Traktor, der meine
Aufmerksamkeit auf sich zog und mit dem ich zurück nach Oberösterreich rollte. Der Traktor wurde im
Zuge der Reise mein Transportmittel, mein Zuhause, mein Werkzeug und mein Kommunikationsmittel
mit der Umgebung. Ich konnte Hilfe anbieten, war aber auch auf Hilfe angewiesen.
Wie ein Archiv, bei dem erprobtes Material vorhanden war und festgehalten wurde, das jedoch noch
Raum bot es zu erweitern. Diese Reise war für Traktor und mich der erste Schritt einer längeren
Entdeckungsreise, während welcher wir Gemeinsamkeiten fanden und unsere Grenzen ausloteten.

2014/With the Tractor fom Ukraine to Upper Austria/research
In March 2014 I travelled to Theresiental. This valley is situated in the Karpaten, an area with mountains
and forests in the southwest of the Ukraine. Two villages in the valley were set up 250 years ago by
people from Upper Austria who moved there to help pushing the logging industry for the
Austro-Hungarian empire.
There, researching on the still remaining Upper-Austrian dialect and traditions I got distracted by a
tractor model that is very common in this area, the T16.
